Since I can't control the luck part, I decided that a change of venue might help with the marketing efforts.
After having extensive work done on Endless Summer in February and March including fresh bottom and running gear painted, engines, generator and drives serviced, entire boat hull and topside compounded and waxed, plus a few other little things that needed attention, I thought it best that we move the boat back to Maryland for the summer. Perhaps a new and fresh group of prospects might emerge.

So we started to map out our cruising plans north with stops at some of our favorite cities and ports along the ICW. While the mission was about getting the boat north, we knew it would be fun to make the trip one more time.
Well, that was until COVID-19 came along and not only changed our plans, but changed the world.
So as a backstop, we moved Endless Summer to Cocoa for April and May (closer to home) while we tried to fugure out what to do. Unfortunately, it became evident that the pandemic wasn't going anywhere, and neither were we. But we still thought getting the boat to Maryland would be beneficial.
In early June, we decided to hire a professional Captain to move Endless Summer to DiMillo's Yacht Sales in Shady Side on the Chesapeake Bay. Capt Mark and his mate departed Cocoa Village Marina bright and early on June 5th. I knew that hiring a Captain would most likley mean that they could make the trip in fewer days than I would, but I had no idea just how much fewer. It seems that weather and sea conditions were very favorable offshore which allowed them run long distances without having to stop or slow down. In fact, they ran a full 36 hours offshore, only stopping once for fuel. The entire trip was done in 57 hours over just three days -- it would have taken me at least twice that time, even if I pushed it.

Once safely in Maryland, a renewed social media and broker email blast was done to get the word out that Endless Summer was for sale.
Now.... we wait.
