Every once in a while, Mother Nature looks favorably upon you and gives you an unexpected pleasure. Today was one of those days as we traversed the Chesapeake Bay from Kent Island Maryland to Portsmouth Virginia in near perfect conditions. The sun was shining brightly, the seas were calm (like a lake) and the winds were fair. We went 160 miles in just under 6 hours. The boat ran great and the time passed quickly.
While it was hard to say goodbye, it was good to get "on the road again" headed home to Florida.
