We left South Seas Yacht Harbor mid-morning on Monday and with the wind at our backs enjoyed following seas leaving Red Fish pass. Since I hadn't been in Sarasota's Big Pass for almost a year, I thought it might be best to come at Venice Pass and do the remainder of the trip on the "inside". It's an easy and pleasant run from Venice to Longboat Key and we enjoyed seeing "familiar" territory.
Upon arriving at the Longboat Key Club Moorings and getting tied up in our slip, it was nice to see some old friends and be welcomed "home" after a year away.
But you won't believe what happened the day we arrived.... (see next blog entry).
